Susan Weilbacher received her B.A. in Art Education from Florida State University. Her studies included six months in Florence, Italy, where she fell in love with the art of the Renaissance. Consequently, an appreciation for classical realism and beauty forms her approach in creating each piece of artwork.
Living all her life in Florida, Susan loves to paint from the great abundance of wildlife, waterlife and scenery she finds around her. Her current media include oil, watercolor, ink and colored pencil.
Susan is proud to be a member of the Brandon eague of Fine Arts (BLFA), and the Artist’s Guild of Anna Maria Island (AGAMI). She currently serves on the Arts and Environment Committee of Nativity Catholic Church, in Brandon, FL.
She has studied oil painting under nationally known art instructor Frank Covino for the past 5 years, learning the methods of the Old Masters. She also has studied under several art teachers from the Tampa & Brandon area.
